Estimator Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire Salary: £30,000 – £38,000 (depending on experience) Hours: Full-time, permanent with some hybrid working. About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join a well-established and expanding manufacturer based in West Yorkshire. You’ll join a dynamic commercial team, working alongside experienced estimators to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 1–2 years’ experience in estimating or commercial support, ideally within construction, or manufacturing. The role is 80% office-based, with occasional site visits and client meetings. Key Responsibilities Review client enquiries, drawings, and specifications Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates Source and evaluate supplier/subcontractor quotations Collaborate with design, production, and project teams Prepare and issue quotations and tender documents Maintain pricing records and supplier databases Support improvements in estimating processes About you: Degree in Maths, Built Environment, Quantity Surveying, or similar 1–2 years’ experience in estimating or commercial roles Strong numerical and analytical skills Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Proficiency in Excel and estimating/job-costing software Excellent communication and organisational skills Desirable: Experience with CAD or design software Understanding of Health & Safety and CDM regulations
