Humanities Specialist Teacher (Middle Years - 2026) Red House International School is hiring for the Humanities Specialist Teacher (Middle Years - 2026). This position is full-time and located at the Campo Grande campus. Working hours: to be agreed. Responsibilities and duties Teach classes and guide student learning, promoting experiences based on the Red House pedagogical plan and the special needs of each student. Know the school\'s Pedagogical Proposal, the adopted approach, and the learning expectations of the specific grade. Analyze students\' evolution in the learning process, collect evidence, and define actions to improve performance for individual needs. Develop, with the coordination, strategies that promote improvement and engagement of students, based on observation and evidence. Promote special classes and different strategies for students who have learning difficulties. Prepare adaptations and accommodate activities for students with special educational needs. Ensure safety, monitor students during activities, and maintain a compliant and organized classroom environment. Observe students\' attitudes and behaviors to identify conditions of illness and take appropriate actions. Report observed behaviors and student performance to the coordinator to keep families informed. Follow general Red House guidelines (Language Policy, Teachers\' Handbook, Assessment Policy). Prepare weekly plans with the coordinator and display them in the classroom; review plans regularly and re-plan as needed. Submit activity plans, projects, and materials for approval by the Coordination within defined deadlines. Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by law and policy (Class Journal). Advise students using evidence-based practices and handle conflicts in line with the school philosophy. Collect evidence of student learning during lessons and evaluate students based on this evidence; assign grades according to deadlines and present to the coordination. Guide the Teaching Assistant (TA) with clear expectations, deadlines, and instructions; report identified development needs to the coordination. Inform parents/guardians about student development when requested and under coordinator supervision. Attend academic meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence. Be responsible for student materials and class management. Communicate daily occurrences related to students to the coordination (accidents, illnesses, absences, etc.). Care for and upkeep objects and equipment used in class and keep the space organized. Give regular feedback so students know how to improve and develop in class; share relevant information about students with other teachers in the class. Meet deadlines set by Red House guidelines (report card, unit summary, unit planner, etc.). Perform tasks described above and any additional tasks determined by the immediate supervisor.
