Overview Software Engineer for Microcontroller Tool Development (f/m/div) at Infineon Technologies. You will design, develop, and maintain Eclipse IDE Plugins with a potential migration to Eclipse Theia and Visual Studio Code. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Eclipse IDE Plugins Design, develop, and maintain VSCode/Eclipse Theia Plugins Actively participate in troubleshooting and debugging activities Collaborate with other developers and technical teams around the world Your Profile / Qualifications A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field Experience in Java / TypeScript / object-oriented programming Good knowledge of software design and architectural patterns; ISO/OSI architecture, microservices, UML, SysML would be a plus, but not mandatory Experience with version control (git) and code management (Bitbucket/GitLab) Fluency in English (mandatory) Preferred / Nice to Have Experience in embedded software development in C Experience in software development in Rust Knowledge of build tools such as Maven or Gradle Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins/GitLab/GitHub Experience with Eclipse IDE plugins / VSCode extensions development Proven knowledge of project management tools like Jira/GitLab/GitHub About Infineon / Diversity We are an equal opportunity employer.
