We seek a qualified, motivated Technical Sales Representative Jr. or Full to grow our business in Mexico through accelerated addition of new customer business of our share of business within existing customers. The Technical Sales Representative Jr. or Full will contact established and prospective customers in an assigned territory for the purpose of selling Chemetall surface treatment chemicals. This individual will provide complete sales and service which ensures safe quality product performance while maximizing profitability within their assigned territory. Responsibilities Manage the daily relation with the assigned accounts, ensuring their satisfaction. Ensure the account profitability, the Chemetall reputation as provider, look after new business with the assigned accounts and new clients. Establish and support favorable customer relations at all customer levels for their respect accounts assignments. Understand the business activities of accounts in the territory and apply knowledge of the customer’s internal operation to tailor sales presentations and sales proposals to the account’s specific needs. Manage territory profitability by reviewing territory compensation margins, providing margin improvement by product selection and optimum pricing. Assure that technology provided within the territory strengthens the company’s competitive position within the accounts. Plan a weekly itinerary of calls to allocate time effectively and to ensure proper territory coverage by industry, geography and account potential. Call on established and prospective customers to determine their needs and sell appropriate products to markets. Make sales presentations, both orally and written, and answer customers’ questions concerning product use and providing pricing quotes. Attain sales plan by securing new customers, increasing sales to current customers and renewing orders. Work closely with customers focusing on building strong business relationships. Maintain contacts with customers in relation to their service requirements. Provide information on new products, methods, techniques and other general information such as safety and disposal. Plan and forecast sales with accounts and segments assigned. Constantly analyze cross-selling opportunities within accounts. Develop new business, provide process consulting and technical service. Identify the client and market requirements and share market updates. Manage the pipeline of sales projects. Comply with the visit calendar according to the service model. Provide technical support to clients when needed. Train customers and ensure proper and safe use of Chemetall materials. Act as a technical consultant for Chemetall products; learn and understand Chemetall's product portfolio, product process & troubleshooting, and the industries we service. Support in the preparation and management of the tender offers and tenders. Be the point of contact between the accounts and all the Chemetall departments. Identify and start to create a close business relationship with the principal decision-making responsible. Report competitive activities that impact sales in the territory. Prepare and submit call reports, exception reports, and in-plant service reports, as required. Forward reports to the appropriate business unit for inclusion into customer’s file. Improve technical knowledge of Chemetall materials through self-study and participation in professional societies. Maintain records of the activities in the territory as required by management and those records necessary for successful performance. Share market insights and trends with the segment team, technical service and marketing. Fulfill the responsibilities and powers given, according to the EHS management and Environment policies. Required Skills: Outside B2B sales experience working with specialty chemicals / surface treatment (paint pretreatments, wastewater treatments, metalworking fluids, etc.) is preferred. Comfortable presentation and ability to conduct technical sales presentations and technical product training are required. Creating sales proposals and managing customer contracts is required. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Valid driver's license in good standing since a company car will be provided. Travel for this position is 50-60% with occasional overnight travel within your territory. Sales acumen (account & relationship management, value-based selling, etc.). Demonstrated ability to collaborate. Ability to create connections with customers and key players (internal / external). Key Points Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Engineering. Fluent in Spanish and English language. Reside in Hermosillo, Sonora Minimum of 2 years of experience with business acumen, customer service, sales, account management, and territory management is required. Comfortability working with chemicals and lab analysis (titration) is required.
