JOB TITLE & JOB CODE Job Title (Job Code): Safety Assurance Engineer (Project or Program) (EN-RA-06) PURPOSE OF THE JOB Perform the activities (under the governance/guidance of the PSAM) related to safety assurance in the Projects and Programs (products and systems). Activities can be related to Project, System, software, hardware domains ORGANISATION Organisation structure (job belongs to) Signalling Safety organization Regional Center (RC) within Project Engineering organization (Project) Development Center (DC) within Program (system & product) development organization (system & product development) Reports directly to: For Project: Regional Center Safety Manager For Program: Development Center Safety Manager Other reporting to: Functional reporting to PSAM of the Project or Program Network & Links Internal Project / Program Safety Assurance Manager Project or Program Core team (PM, PrEM, Architect, V&V, Installation, T&C…) Quality & Internal Safety Assessors Signaling Safety network MAIN RESPONSABILITIES Key accountabilities: Deliver/perform Safety analysis under the guidance of the PSAM, with the strict application of process as per Signalling Safety Instruction Participate to the elaboration of the Safety Reports and the Safety Case under the guidance of the PSAM Apply the safety assurance methodologies (risk acceptance criteria, safety analysis, verification and validation) defined for the project / system / product Attend periodic Safety Reviews Support actions contributing to close the findings of the assessors (Internal or External) MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES Educational Requirements Mandatory: Advanced University or Engineering degree English operational in reading and writing for technical documentation System, Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical engineering knowledge Hardware and/or Software knowledge Experience Mandatory: Can be a beginner in safety but depending of the domain specific experience is required on System, data preparation, Hardware or Software domain Some knowledge of Cenelec Standards for Safety (or equivalent standards if needed: AREMA, IEEE, etc ) Structured and organized Fast learner Resilient Rigorous You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
