Senior Authorised Person

400kV Senior Authorised Person – Offshore Wind – Outside IR35 – 12 Month Contract – ASAP Start I’m looking for a 400kV Senior Authorised Person to support the construction and commissioning of a large offshore wind farm project. You’ll be responsible for ensuring Safety from the System and managing both onshore and offshore assets. Requirements Previous authorisation as a 400kV Senior Authorised Person Strong knowledge of HV safe systems of work and UK HV electrical safety rules Experience with commissioning, fault finding and O&M of HV plant and equipment Offshore project experience is desirable NEBOSH/IOSH Managing Safely or CITB SMSTS (or equivalent) preferred Full UK driving license Responsibilities Always ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and drive safe working practices Prepare, issue, and cancel safety documents in line with HV rules Carry out switching, isolation, and earthing duties up to 400kV Act as Control Engineer , preparing and reviewing switching schedules Manage system interfaces with site, DNO, and National Grid Produce and review method statements, risk assessments, and maintenance plans Maintain the asset register and deliver planned/unplanned maintenance on HV equipment Undertake troubleshooting, fault-finding, and basic protection testing on HV systems (complex relay testing a bonus) Deliver inductions and Competent Person training to contractors and junior team members Liaise closely with Project Lead SAP, HV Control, and external stakeholders React to emergencies, outages, and changing site circumstances as required Logistics ASAP start Outside IR35 2/2 rotation 12-month initial contract If you’re interested and meet the requirements, please send your CV to josie.wade@hunterphilips.com and we’ll get a call booked in.
