Civil Engineer

An excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join a well-established engineering consultancy based in Leeds. The company delivers innovative civil and infrastructure design solutions across a range of sectors including residential, commercial, education, and public realm developments. You will play a key role in the design and coordination of infrastructure for new and existing developments, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical and sustainable engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop infrastructure including roads, drainage, and utility layouts for a variety of projects. Produce detailed 2D and 3D designs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage. Carry out calculations for drainage and levels, ensuring compliance with SuDS and local authority standards. Prepare design reports, drawings, and technical documentation for planning and construction. Liaise with architects, structural engineers, and other design disciplines to ensure fully coordinated designs. Support site activities by providing technical input and assisting with problem solving during construction phases. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Experience within a civil or infrastructure design consultancy environment. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with knowledge of drainage design software such as MicroDrainage or Causeway Flow. Good understanding of highways and drainage design principles, SuDS, and relevant design standards. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a design team. A proactive and professional approach with a desire to contribute to high-quality engineering projects.
