Job Title: Cardiovascular Sonographer Profession: Sonography Specialty: Cardiovascular Duration: Permanent Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 40.00 Experience: One year minimum experience in an acute hospital setting. License: Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or registry eligible and become registered within one year from the date of hire. Certifications: One of the following is required: RDCS certified through ARDMS; RCS, ACS, and RCCS certified through CCI. Must-Have: - CPR certification. Description: Demonstrates competence in delivering pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care, including patient assessment and emergency cardiac care. Assistance with post-procedure transport may be required. Ensures equipment is calibrated and properly maintained on a daily basis. Performs and records all equipment maintenance and quality assurance monitoring. Troubleshoots and identifies any equipment problems and reports them to the appropriate supervisor. Generates ultrasound images of the heart and vascular-related structures. May perform staff training and education. Monitors and records patient information and maintains report storage and data systems. Compiles and enters data necessary for charge entry and prepares reports. Responsible for the retrieval of stored information and reports from the automated storage system. Prepares the procedure room and equipment for daily use. Responsible for timely and efficient room preparation between procedures.
