Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Contract Opportunity: Mechanical Design Engineer (Wastewater) Location: Fully Remote (UK-based) Engagement: Outside IR35 ️ Sector: Water Framework We’re hiring a Mechanical Wastewater Design Engineer to support the design and delivery of wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and related infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: • Design mechanical systems – pumps, valves, pipelines, blowers, compressors • Develop P&IDs, GA drawings, and technical specifications • Perform hydraulic calculations and energy efficiency assessments • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams • Ensure compliance with WIMES, BS EN, and CDM regulations Ideal Candidate: • Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer (BEng/BSc) • 3–7 years’ experience in water/wastewater design • Skilled in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, SolidWorks, or Revit MEP • Strong understanding of mechanical installation and corrosion prevention • Bonus: CFD, FEA, or hydraulic modelling experience Interested?
