About the role As the Financial Controller for MCC Christchurch and Kiwi Labels, you’ll lead all financial operations, ensuring accuracy, insight, and performance across both sites. Working closely with senior leaders, you’ll turn financial data into smart business decisions that drive growth and profitability. This is a hands-on, strategic role with a unique commercial opportunity to bring two established sites together - creating greater alignment, efficiency, and value. You’ll be joining a stable, high-performing team that’s passionate about what they do, and you’ll play a key role in their continued growth journey within a global industry leader. Duties include Responsible for leading and inspiring the finance team. Lead the preparation of accurate, timely monthly financial reports for the holding company and internal stakeholders. Oversee P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reporting - ensuring quality and insight within tight timeframes. Supervise monthly accruals, journals, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules. Act as a trusted financial partner to business units, department heads, and executives. Analyse results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that shape business performance. Build financial models to support pricing, capital investment, and new project decisions. Liaise confidently with external auditors, banks, and tax advisors. Manage local fixed asset registers and inventory. Ensure accuracy, comp liance, and continuous improvement across all financial processes. About you A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or CFA preferred). Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - with the confidence to challenge and advise. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Advanced skills in financial modelling and data analysis. Deep understanding of accounting principles and regulations. Experience in manufacturing or labelling industries (a plus).
