VAT Automation & E‑Invoicing Advisory – Summary Senior Tax Specialist to advise on VAT automation, e‑invoicing and SAF‑T with a primary focus on Italy, supporting projects to implement and optimize digital VAT compliance systems, SDI reporting, ensuring accurate reporting and regulatory alignment. What you will be doing VAT Automation and E‑Invoicing Advisory Act as a key advisor on Italian VAT automation, e‑invoicing and SAF‑T, providing expert guidance on the digital transformation of VAT compliance processes. Oversee implementation, integration and optimization of automated VAT systems and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate application of VAT regulations. VAT Audits and Inquiries Support responses to VAT audits and inquiries related to automated VAT processes, e‑invoicing and SAF‑T submissions, preparing and organizing digital documentation and ensuring automated systems support smooth audit responses. Enhancing VAT Control Framework Contribute to the design and development of Italy’s tax control framework, refining policies and procedures to accommodate evolving e‑invoicing, SAF‑T, and VAT automation standards. Training and Knowledge Building Assist in building VAT awareness across the organization by supporting training initiatives focused on VAT automation, e‑invoicing, and SAF‑T compliance. Cross‑Functional Communication and Relationship Management Build strong internal networks within the company by collaborating across departments, aligning on VAT automation strategies and influencing cross‑functional teams to achieve compliance. What you bring with you Excellent language skills (written / verbal) in English, Italian and another language is a plus. Diploma in Tax law, Economics or Accounting. Minimum of 6 years work experience in VAT, Tax or Accounting. Experience with managing projects independently. Excellent soft skills: communication, flexibility, innovative thinking, analytical skills, judgement and decision making.
