Job Description
What you do As the Head of Home Steering & Performance, you will be a crucial figure within the LoB perimeter. You are in charge of steering all Home-related aspects for selected markets — from Growth Strategy to Contracts Profitability — while also focusing on operational efficiency and financial analysis. You will work closely with the Global Head of Home, local Management, and Global stakeholders such as Operations, UW, Finance, Sales & PMI, not only to coordinate projects but to steer and challenge topics to ensure the remediation program progresses properly. In addition to the remediation scope, you might also take the lead on transversal P&L Optimization topics, Financial Modelling, M&A Transactions, and ad-hoc strategic initiatives. Your main responsibilities: Remediation of Loss-Making Units: Identify loss-making business units within the home line of business and develop targeted remediation plans. Conduct thorough analyses to pinpoint root causes of underperformance, design strategic turnaround initiatives, and implement corrective actions to restore profitability. Collaborate with finance, UW, Operations, and Local Management teams to ensure alignment and successful execution. Strategic Decision Support: Provide business and financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. PnL Oversight: Conduct detailed business and financial analyses to understand revenue streams, cost structures, and profitability drivers, providing insights for strategic decisions. Planning and Forecasting: Lead and facilitate planning and forecasting exercises by engaging relevant stakeholders (Markets, UW, Ops, Finance). Performance Monitoring: Oversee the overall portfolio, collaborate with Underwriting teams and LoB Heads, and track key performance indicators to evaluate service quality and operational effectiveness. Ad Hoc Strategic Topics: Address emerging strategic topics (including M&A) and challenges, collaborating with senior management and cross-functional teams to evaluate and implement solutions aligning with organizational priorities. What you bring Master’s degree (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Insurance, Engineering) 10 years of professional experience in fields such as Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Underwriting, or Operations within an Insurance/Assistance company Proficiency in conducting P&L analyses and providing business insights for diverse product lines Success in executing strategic remediation plans and implementing corrective actions to achieve profitability Experience leading successful business transformations and managing organizational change Strong influencing skills and ability to build effective relationships across organizational levels Experience working with multiple stakeholders in complex organizational structures High standards of excellence and focus on sustainable results Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to analyze complex data from multiple sources and resolve issues proactively Fluent in English; proficiency in French, Spanish, or German is an advantage What we offer Our employees are key to our success.
