Electrical Network Modelling Engineer Location : Bourgogne Franche Comte, France Contract Type : Permanent – CDI Turner Lovell is a trusted talent advisor supporting global innovators in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Your Role As an Electrical Network Modelling Engineer, you will be responsible for high-voltage grid simulation and modelling studies to demonstrate compliance of advanced power generation & conversion systems with grid code performance standards. Key Responsibilities Model electrical grids, loads, and power conversion systems using tools such as Matlab/Simulink, ETAP, PSS/E, PSCAD, and DIgSILENT Conduct static studies (load flow, short-circuit) across different network nodes Carry out transient dynamic stability studies (Phasor Domain Transient) including voltage and frequency control tuning Perform harmonic, transient, and network stability analyses Define system-wide protection and ensure coordination and selectivity Undertake EMT studies and insulation coordination based on switching and overvoltage simulations Provide on-site technical support during commissioning and technical investigations The Ideal Candidate Engineering degree or Master’s in Power Electronics or Electrical Engineering Some experience in system design or network modelling is a plus Good knowledge of simulation software (Matlab, PLECS, etc.) Operational English Willingness to travel occasionally in France or abroad Why Apply?
