Quality Assurance Tester

Job Title: QA Tester Location: Guadalajara, Mexico Duration: Full-Time Job Description: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Tester to join our agile software development team in Guadalajara. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing our testing strategy for cutting-edge web applications. You will ensure that every release meets the highest standards of quality, functionality, and performance. Key Responsibilities Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features and product enhancements. Perform both manual and automated testing (functional, regression, performance) using tools such as Selenium and JMeter. Expand and maintain the automated test suite for web applications to improve efficiency and test coverage. Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure clear requirements and acceptance criteria. Quickly understand business and domain-specific requirements to design effective and complete test scenarios. Report, track, and manage issues using Jira, providing clear, actionable, and data-driven feedback on product quality. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred). 4 years of Quality Assurance experience, preferably in web application testing. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices. Preferred Qualifications Proven experience with Selenium for automated testing and JMeter for performance testing. Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and RESTful APIs. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. ISTQB or equivalent certification in software testing is a plus.
