Job Description
The HR Business Partner will help create a people-centered culture that drives business results. This role provides leadership and expert HR advice to both management and employees. It is responsible for the implementation and execution of strategies, programs, and policies, as well as for providing daily HR support within a business unit. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with assigned leaders and key stakeholders, advising them through the application of HR solutions to resolve business challenges. • Act as the HR Business Partner for assigned business leaders and their teams, driving operational success through corporate strategies. • Provide comprehensive human resources support, including organizational development, employee relations, labor relations, talent management, talent acquisition, performance management, development, coaching, employee engagement, and succession planning activities. • Lead and manage HR programs and processes efficiently and effectively. • Partner with leaders to identify high-potential employees and support them to ensure these individuals are prepared for continued success within Flowserve. • Support managers with workflow requests, ensuring accuracy and quality of job descriptions and overall data integrity. • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition resources to fill open positions with high-quality candidates; support the hiring process through interviews, offer creation/approval, and escalation of hard-to-fill roles. • Develop hiring managers’ capabilities in selection tools/processes to enable the best possible hiring decisions. Contribute to selection processes for managerial and other key hiring decisions. • Support new hire integration and facilitate onboarding programs. • Approve written employee actions, including performance improvement plans and progressive disciplinary measures; seek additional review from the Experience Center and Legal Department as needed. • Investigate complaints and claims related to disciplinary actions, ensuring confidentiality and sensitivity throughout the investigation process. • Support site-level employee engagement initiatives, including participation in surveys; drive accountability among employees and managers for monitoring and improving engagement. • Provide initial advice to managers on compensation matters (e.g., salary adjustments, promotions, etc.) and benefits requests (e.g., expatriate relocations/additional benefits); refer to the appropriate HR and business approvers for final approval. • Advise managers on the implementation of the continuous performance management process and influence improved compliance and effectiveness. • Ensure alignment with performance culture objectives, actively promoting strong performance differentiation with managerial support. • Responsible for all employment documentation processing in accordance with local labor requirements, involving outsourced support when necessary. • Maintain knowledge of HR policies and practices, labor requirements, and employment legislation. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and initiatives while exercising sound judgment and flexibility. • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed organization. • Contribute to a people-first culture and inspire leaders to operate with a business-minded approach. • Maintain unwavering safety and quality expectations. • Enhance the HR brand within Flowserve by delivering top-quality products and solutions that drive business outcomes. • Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 8–10 years of related experience. • Fluency in English and Portuguese. • Ability to leverage HR data to support discussions with business partners. • Previous experience in coaching and managing change management programs. • Experience working with manufacturing, engineering, or sales teams. • Experience with Workday. • Ability to influence others on proposed actions while being both assertive and diplomatic. • Willingness to travel as needed.
