Job Description
We are a global company with a strong presence in Mexico, known for our portfolio of leading lifestyle and consumer brands. We are looking for our next Inbound Logistics Analyst Coordinates the delivery of all inbound shipments into the Distribution Center. This includes communication freight suppliers, control tower and security companies for proper coordination. Ensures shipping documentation is received and are accurate for shipment creation in the GTN system to enable the DC to physically receive shipments. Maintain reports updates of all in-shipments. Accountable of the inbound end to end process since departure date from origin through payments process to suppliers, establishing control-related standards and procedures, Coordinate and execute DC operations after border crossing to DC. Support on samples and direct shipments such as system updates Main Responsibilities: Execute activities to have a seamless Inbound transport operation as per Service Level agreements (FCL, LCL, Air, LTL, FTL, parcel and security), fixing day to day operational issues and escalating deviations with suppliers and IB-OB supervisor to prevent delays. Follow up on defined action plans to improve service level. Coordinate and follow up on daily cargo deliveries from all origin locations to DC, guaranteeing data accuracy. Follow up with carriers, control tower and security services to meet DC deliveries' plan. Submit weekly volume forecast to suppliers (trucking companies and security suppliers to secure capacity) TMS update and data maintenance Update and provide visibility to internal teams through operational reports. Grant complete and correct visibility of each process lead time. (Departures, Arrivals, New Shipments, priorities, etc.) Demurrages and detention analysis and follow up (days, rates, billing per brand and resolution to payment through platforms and SOAs). Ensure KPI's information (Performance and Cost) is accurate and timely updated to elaborate internal Business Revisions Monitor and follow up empty containers return from DC to ports as per SLA. Ensure Inbound suppliers submit correct and complete billing as per service contract terms, agreements. Invoices may include operational data as brand name. Ensure that all services are invoiced on time, after service is completed. Audit and approve invoices routed to Shipment Management queue - in CASS port - based on contracted rates, preventing double or incorrect payments to suppliers. Ensure Inbound carriers issue Carta Porte according to local regulations to avoid operational delays. This includes random revisions to reduce operational risks for – IN TRANSIT – cargo. Support direct shipments operation by gathering documentation; SAP updates, routing forms and coordination through final customer delivery Manage and support SAP updates (clean up all transactions / orders) Submit operational letters and information to ensure operational service levels Submit and follow up on loss / theft formal claims with transport suppliers and insurance company. Experience and Skills: Years of Related Professional Experience: 3 -5 years Importing, Supply Chain, Logistics. International transportation experience highly preferred. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a four-year college - or 3-5 years related experience and/or training - or equivalent combination of education and experience. Full time. Experience with International Freight. Prior SAP knowledge Advanced English (business) Proficient in OCEAN and AIR shipping processes, documentation, and Incoterms
