Scope: The Senior Planner ensures that materials are available to meet production requirements and maintains control over material inventory to achieve target levels. Accountabilities: Responsible for accuracy of inventory records, bill of material and yearly physical count. Coordinate production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules. Provide input to management; schedules and/or interfaces with marketing, sales, production and engineering managers. Work to resolve (in case of design changes) labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions. Oversee the master schedules and ensure comprehensive compliance with materials requirements for manufacturing. Ensures the on-time delivery of customers’ orders, zero down time on the lines for lack of materials, optimizing inventory turns and planning engineering changes to minimize obsolescence. Meets daily with production staff and help with planning schedules. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. Experience with commodities metals, plastics, wires, electronics. 6 or more years of experience in similar position. Bilingual Spanish/English.
