ProServe Area Delivery Leader, ProServe A2C The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is looking for an experienced ProServe Area Delivery Leader (PADL) to join our Associate to Consultant (A2C) Shared Delivery Team (SDT) to help us grow our early-in-career talent. This senior leadership role is responsible for all delivery activities within the Area (single/multi-country or Practice/Industry), ensuring optimal support while maximizing team utilization and revenue performance. You'll report to the Geo Delivery Leader serving as a strategic advisor to customers, partners, and internal AWS teams. As PADLs you will coach, manage, and guide Delivery Practice Managers (DPMs) and their teams, to ensure they are providing best in class solutions for customers and partners. Routinely engaging with C-level executives within our customers, you will be responsible for ensuring Area SDTs work closely with partner teams; drive business development initiatives through thought leadership; provide portfolio guidance and oversight; and meet and exceed customer satisfaction targets. PADLs primarily drive their teams to partner with ProServe Account Executives to identify, understand, and define business outcomes for customers by building trust, identifying applicable AWS Professional Services offerings, and successfully executing SOWs. Your experience gained leading teams within the technology sector, will equip you with the ability to optimize team growth and performance through implementing tailored people development plans, ensuring Area SDTs are aligned to customer needs, and have the skills and capacity to address customer outcomes. Possessing the ability to translate technical concepts into business value for customers and then talk in technical depth with teams, you will cultivate strong customer, Amazon Global Sales (AGS), and ProServe team relationships which enables exceptional business performance. PADLs success is primarily measured through the Area P&L by delivering customer engagements on time, within budget, and exceeding customer expectations (CSAT). The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. In this role, you will be a part of leading and building our complex and ambitious “Associate to Consultant” (A2C) SDT, as well as elevating the technical execution and delivery of your team of early-in-career Associate Consultants. Our A2C team hires early-in-career technologists, including recent graduates, and providing training, coaching, and mentoring to develop them into productive, customer-facing technical consultants. Key Responsibilities Leading and managing the Area Shared Delivery Team, overseeing Delivery Practice Managers (DPMs) and their teams Ensuring delivery of best-in-class solutions for customers and partners, meeting and exceeding satisfaction targets Driving business development initiatives and provide portfolio guidance and oversight Collaborating with ProServe Account Executives to identify and define customer business outcomes Managing the Area P&L, optimizing team growth, performance, and utilization Serving as an escalation point for Sales and Delivery teams, engaging in pre-sales, in-flight projects, and post-implementation reviews Working with teams across AWS to develop mechanisms to accelerate hiring, onboarding, development, and insights into our early-in-career program delivery Driving technical and soft skill training to focus and accelerate consultant development Partnering with Business Unit stakeholders to identify engagement staffing opportunities for your team and drive high team utilization Basic Qualifications 10 years in IT and/or Management Consulting/Services, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or people leader role Experience leading cloud transformation projects Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience Experience recruiting, onboarding, training, mentoring, and/or staffing consultants or other customer-facing professionals Ability to travel to AWS and customer locations globally, as needed Preferred Qualifications Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain C-level client relationships Advanced knowledge of AWS services and cloud computing trends Strong people management and performance management skills Proficiency in financial analysis, contract management, and risk management Ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and drive change Strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities in ambiguous environments AWS certifications, Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE) and/or Agile (e.g., APM, CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe SM, CSPO) certification Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
