Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Engineering Data Controller to manage and maintain technical product data, support project planning, and ensure timely updates of key systems like BOM, MBT, and Connect. The role includes cross-functional collaboration, representing the Group in international forums, and supporting new projects and model year changes. Possible Tasks within this Role 1. Bill‑of‑Materials Management Create and maintain BOMs using technical product descriptions and vehicle specifications. Work with local and international design engineers to ensure BOMs reflect accurate design levels. Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure necessary materials are available. Represent the Group in global technical forums (MBT, TI Synchro, FAKOM, Connect etc.). Perform weekly consistency checks of BOMs using tools such as PASTA, identifying and resolving discrepancies. Prepare technical change documentation (TULs) and draft statements for change requests (ÄKOs, AWEs, ECRs). Manage release orders within TI‑Synchro and KVS systems. Establish prototype vehicle parts lists and maintain BOM databases for prototype/control vehicle builds. 2. MBT System Management Define and manage PR numbers for vehicle projects based on customer specifications and technical programs. Align PR structures with project management, sales, logistics, and product data control functions. Provide advice on part validity control procedures; help ensure incorporation of technical rules. Ensure compliance with PR number management standards. Develop and maintain sales offer programs; assign model keys. Conduct buildability analyses and support Product Safety Committee processes. Perform vehicle-to-vehicle comparisons to support market or specification investigations. Qualification Requirements A relevant 3‑year diploma or degree in Engineering, Logistics, or Information Technology. At least 5 years experience in data management in an automotive or similar product‑driven environment. Essentials Proficiency in systems such as TIS, MBT, AVON, MBV, KVS, Connect, TI‑REX, CoRe, COPS. Excellent communication across all levels. Ability to read, interpret, and act upon technical change documentation. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Confidence in presenting and managing conflict. Leadership ability and strong collaboration skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Capability to represent Product Data Management in various technical and strategic forums. Skill in building and maintaining relationships with internal and international stakeholders for product data and specification alignment. Ability to work independently under pressure. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as required.
