Mid-Level eCommerce Consultant/Analyst

Job Description

An established South African software solutions provider specializing in Customer-Centric Transformation is seeking a Mid-Level eCommerce Consultant/Analyst to join their team. This role is central to the successful delivery and ongoing optimization of our digital commerce solutions. Responsibilities: Business Analysis: Gather and thoroughly analyze business requirements for new eCommerce features, content, and system integrations. Platform Configuration: Configure and provide functional support for our core commerce platforms ( primarily Magento, Shopify, and AgilityCMS ) to meet defined business needs. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional Agile teams , including developers, designers, and key stakeholders, to ensure the delivery of functional and engaging customer journeys. Documentation & Testing: Develop detailed functional documentation (User Stories, Functional Specifications), support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and assist with training activities. Optimization: Identify opportunities to effectively leverage platform features, ensure functional decisions align with UI/UX best practices (usability, accessibility), and drive conversion optimization. Minimum Requirements: Experience: 35 years of functional consulting or business analysis experience specifically in the eCommerce domain. Technical Knowledge: Proven familiarity with major eCommerce platforms like Magento (Adobe Commerce), Shopify , and content management systems such as AgilityCMS or similar. Process Expertise: Solid understanding of end-to-end online retail processes, including catalogue management, pricing, promotions, checkout flows, and fulfilment. Documentation & Testing: Demonstrated ability to develop high-quality User Stories, Functional Specifications, and Test Scripts. Digital Tools: Experience with Google Analytics, SEO/Search solutions , and personalisation tools is highly advantageous. Design Awareness: Practical awareness of UI/UX best practices , including responsive design, accessibility, and customer-centric flows. Soft Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
