Prototype Technician

Role Purpose: Perform cable harness prototype builds according to drawings and BOMs, validate critical steps, and support documentation input and tooling preparation for production startup. Key Responsibilities: Prototype Assembly: Perform cutting, crimping, soldering, and basic testing of harness samples. FAI and Traceability: Complete dimension check sheets, FAI forms, and archive samples with full traceability. Feedback and SOP Drafting: Provide build feedback and assist engineers with SOP data entry. Tool Handling: Operate and maintain crimp tools, test jigs, and fixtures specific to NPI build tasks Qualifications & Requirements: 3 years of hands-on cable/harness prototyping. Experience independently building 50 samples from drawing/BOM. Basic English (for reading specifications). Familiarity with IPC-WHMA-A-620 inspection preferred. High attention to detail and proactive problem reporting.
