Job Description
Job Purpose: The purpose of this role is to provide accurate and efficient bookkeeping and financial record management for the company. The incumbent will ensure all accounting transactions are correctly recorded, monitored, and reconciled, while supporting the finance team in maintaining compliance with internal policies and financial standards. This role requires strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently under pressure, contributing to the smooth financial operations of the company. Key Responsibilities: · Effective verbal and listening communication in English and Afrikaans. · Effective written communication in English and Afrikaans. · Competent in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook. · Strong numerical skills; accurate, detail-oriented, and well-organized. · Understanding of GL codes and Cost Centres. · Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records. · Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and meet tight deadlines. · Strong time management and multitasking abilities. · Ability to remain calm in difficult situations. Education & Qualifications: Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics and Accounting. Good Matric results (preferably "C" aggregate or above). Post-Matric qualification, preferably a Bookkeeping Diploma (advantageous). Personal Attributes: Honest and reliable. Non-smoker. Other Requirements: South African citizen. Valid drivers license and own transport (company is 10 km out of town
