Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Calculate and analyze the costs of mined products, including raw materials, processing, and overheads. Conduct transport and logistics cost analysis, ensuring accurate expense tracking per product and customer. Support pricing strategies using volume-based models and margin targets. Participate in weekly and monthly cost analysis meetings with mining sites. Develop and maintain KPI dashboards to monitor operational and financial performance. Generate cost variance reports and highlight improvement opportunities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cost, pricing, and operational strategies. Contribute to standard costing models, including BOMs and routings. Support financial close processes and maintain data integrity within SAGE ERP. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CIMA or equivalent preferred). 5 years of cost accounting experience within the mining industry, ideally with industrial minerals. Strong knowledge of product and transport costing, pricing, and margin analysis. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, financial modeling, lookups). Experience with SAGE ERP (preferably Sage X3) Experience building dashboards or KPI tracking tools using Excel, BI tools, or ERP systems. Knowledge of South African mining regulations and transport cost structures.
