Senior Accountant

An established independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Keighley is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team and provide key support to the partners. This is a varied and client-facing role, offering the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients while contributing to the smooth running and continued success of the practice. This is a hybrid opportiunity with up to 2 days WFH. The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing and reviewing client work, supporting junior staff where required, and ensuring high standards of service are delivered across the firm’s portfolio. Working closely with the partners, you will play a central role in maintaining strong client relationships and providing technical and practical support in day-to-day practice operations. Key Responsibilities: Manage and review accounts and tax work across a portfolio of clients. Support and advise clients across a range of sectors, building long-term relationships. Review the work of junior staff, providing guidance and support. Work closely with the partners to deliver a high-quality service and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Contribute to the efficient operation and growth of the practice. Candidate Profile: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) or qualified by experience within general practice. Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation, tax compliance, and business advice. Experience reviewing the work of others and providing constructive feedback. Excellent communication and client relationship management skills. A proactive and professional approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
