Vivid Resourcing - Freelance Project Manager - MES / LIMS (Manufacturing)

For a manufacturing customer in Limburg, I am searching for a freelance Senior Project Manager to lead the implementation of a MES and a LIMS in the same application. This is a contract-based role for an external resource who will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the project—ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and meets all quality and business objectives. Responsibilities Own the full lifecycle of the implementation, from initiation through deployment and closure. Report regularly to internal stakeholders, including project sponsors and steering committees. Manage cross-functional teams, including internal staff and external partners/vendors. Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria aligned with business needs. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively. Apply deep understanding of manufacturing processes and MES tooling to guide implementation decisions. Ensure deliverables meet agreed standards and comply with relevant policies and procedures. Facilitate clear and consistent communication across all project participants. Profile Proven experience in leading MES/LIMS implementation projects in manufacturing environments. Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, workflows, and systems integration. Minimum 7 years of project management experience, preferably in IT or industrial automation. Demonstrated ability to manage external vendors and internal teams effectively. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with project management methodologies Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, IT, Business, or related field.
