Business Alliance Manager

Mantell Associates is partnered with a global CDMO, who is seeking a proactive and collaborative Business Alliance Manager to oversee strategic client partnerships and alliances from its hub in Barcelona. This pivotal role will ensure alignment between clients and internal teams, driving long-term value creation, operational excellence, and commercial success across biologics and pharmaceutical service portfolios. Business Alliance Manager - Responsibilities: Act as the primary point of contact for strategic partners and clients, ensuring smooth communication and alignment on alliance goals Manage and grow client relationships, supporting the delivery of key milestones, budgets, and quality objectives across the CDMO’s services Partner with Business Development, Operations, Legal, and Finance teams to negotiate and execute agreements that drive mutual success Monitor alliance performance, track KPIs, and provide regular reporting to senior leadership to support decision-making and continuous improvement Support leadership in identifying and shaping new strategic partnership opportunities to strengthen the company’s market presence in Europe and globally Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring transparency, issue resolution, and delivery consistency across functions Maintain strict compliance with global regulatory frameworks and internal quality standards throughout all alliance activities Business Alliance Manager - Requirements: Solid experience in strategic alliances, client management, or business development within the CDMO, biotech, or pharmaceutical sectors Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing complex partnerships or alliances in life sciences or pharmaceutical services Strong ability to engage with clients from early-stage biotech to large pharma, ensuring collaborative and successful relationships Proven negotiation, commercial, and project management expertise with measurable track record of alliance outcomes Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, able to bridge commercial, technical, legal, and financial teams Based in Barcelona, Spain (or willing to relocate), with full eligibility to work in the EU Knowledge of biologics, small molecules, or advanced therapy manufacturing services is highly desirable Mantell Associates is a specialist Pharmaceutical and Life Science headhunting firm.
