Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical Design Engineer Annual Salary: £50,000-£55,000 Location: Gateshead Job Type: Permanent Exciting opportunity for an Electrical Design, Service and Commissioning Engineer within our client’s Service/Engineering Department. This role is integral to the development of their organisation, focusing on maintaining and enhancing current business performance. Day-to-day of the role: Conduct onsite service work, including commissioning, installation, service, repair, and updates of all equipment manufactured and supplied by the company. Provide service support and manufacturing support, particularly in machine commissioning. Engage in engineering design for current products and new product developments, both hardware and software. Identify and implement design improvements to enhance functionality and efficiency. Required Skills & Qualifications: HNC/HND/degree in electrical/electronic engineering Several years of experience in control systems hardware and software design, commissioning, and support, preferably in a machine-building environment. Proficiency with PLC's Knowledge of current safety and EMC legislation relating to electrical control systems. Willingness and ability to travel internationally when required. Experience in CODESYS programming is desirable. Familiarity with CE requirements and safety of machinery standards (BSEN60204/13849/62061) is advantageous. Proficient in using CAD packages to produce schematic diagrams, control panel layouts, assembly diagrams, and terminal layouts. Benefits: Comprehensive training provided to support your development.
