Payroll Technician - 16 months contract - Hybrid

We are currently supporting an IT group in Montreal, where you will benefit from a flexible hybrid model with only one day per week in the office and the rest working remotely, for the recruitment of a Payroll Technician for a 16-month term. After a personalized training period, you will be responsible for:Entering changes into the payroll system (hirings, departures, salary reviews, group insurance).Collecting, verifying, and processing employee information: hours worked, leave, and ensuring data transfer into payroll.Performing necessary payroll corrections and adjustments and applying compliance controls on the data. Produce employment records and monitor group insurance files (reconcile invoices, manage pre-authorized payments for inactive employees, etc.).Make certain entries in the accounting system, including recording earnings other than hours worked, associating them with the appropriate projects and employees.Reconcile the "Employee Advances" account (group insurance, leave).Collaborate closely with other departments and answer employee questions regarding payroll and benefits.Work with Excel as well as the GreatPlains, Sifia, and Desjardins Payroll systems. Your profile:2 to 3 years of successful experience in payroll productionGood knowledge of Excel (creating Pivot Tables)Experience with timesheets is a major assetPerfect command of French (oral and written) Job requirements:Salary between $55,000 and $65,000 depending on experienceGroup insurance (Day 1)
