We are currently supporting an IT group in Montreal, where you will benefit from a flexible hybrid model with only one day per week in the office and the rest working remotely, for the recruitment of a Senior Payroll Specialist. As the department's supervisor's right-hand man, you will be responsible for:Managing the complete payroll cycle for all employees.Updating employee files (hirings, departures, salary changes, leave, group insurance, PRVC).Validating timesheets and ensuring necessary follow-ups with human resources and managers.Making payroll corrections and adjustments as well as producing records of employment. Participate in the fiscal year-end process (T4, RL-1, etc.).Ensure the integrity of various banks (vacation, leave, sick leave, time bank).Answer employee questions regarding their pay, deductions, and other related requests.Ensure the application of internal policies and compliance with tax laws and labor standards.Perform payroll and month-end accounting entries.Collaborate in the harmonization and continuous improvement of payroll processes.Respond to requests from various tax agencies (CRA, Revenu Québec, WSIB, EHT, etc.).Work with GreatPlains, Sifia, and Desjardins Payroll, as well as Excel for various reports and analyses. Your profile:Proven experience in comprehensive payroll management in a multi-site or multi-agreement environment (an asset).Excellent knowledge of payroll processes and current Quebec and Canadian legislation. Significant experience with timesheet management and data validation. Proficiency in Excel (ability to create and manipulate Pivot Tables and other advanced functions). Knowledge of GreatPlains, Sifia, and Desjardins Payroll (or strong ability to learn new systems). Rigor, attention to detail, and a strong sense of confidentiality. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with different departments. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Continuous improvement mindset, proactiveness, and a willingness to contribute to process optimization. Conditions: Four weeks of vacation. Group insurance, day 1. $80,000 to $90,000 with bonus. One day per week in the office.
