Mechanical Engineer/ Technologist

Job Description: Design drawings, specifications, reports and other project deliverables Prepare heat-loads and design calculations in accordance with SANS, EN, ASHRAE and other design codes Assist & Support Senior Project Leaders. Manage a small team, including draughting staff. Participate as a team member, contributing ideas and possible solutions. Manage projects from inception to completion stages. Work independently. Attend meetings with clients & other professionals Skills & Experience: Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the Building Services industry Excellent communication skills, including technical report writing skills Must be willing to travel HVAC installation, especially chilled water Wet Services & Fire will be an added advantage Technical Report Writing Preparing cost estimates and fee proposals Understanding of the different construction contracts Compilation of Tender Documentation, including specification and Bill of Quantities Site meetings, performing commissioning and dealing with contractual related matters Liaising with Clients, Utilities, Other Engineering Disciplines & Stakeholders Proficient Software: Revit, AutoCAD, HAP and MS Office Suite Qualification: B.Eng/ B.Tech Eng in Mechanical Engineering Preferably registered as a Professional Engineer / Technologist or eligible to register Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered Contact MALIEKA DAWOOD on
