Global Product Manager (m/f/d) at Hitachi Energy Overview You will be working in the Global Product Management team, responsible for the definition of the Power Conversion Solutions product portfolio, development roadmap, and market introduction. The role focuses on power conversion solutions and AC integrations of various DC loads (BESS, Solar, etc.). You will define and develop the product portfolio and manage the product lifecycle for a global customer base across multiple use cases from large-scale battery storage to renewable integrations and new system topologies. As part of the global product management team, you are a thought leader and key contributor to meet the business objectives of the unit. Responsibilities Define and drive the strategy and development of new products and solutions for the Power Conversion Solutions business. Identify market growth opportunities by collecting, verifying, and defining market requirements for power system solutions and applications across different customer segments. Collaborate closely with internal business units, end customers, and development teams; communicate and coordinate with people of different technical backgrounds. Understand the functional and technical needs of internal and external customers, identify gaps in current solutions, and lead the full process to implement new platforms and solutions. Drive operational efficiency by delivering application and solution knowledge to Sales and Marketing via training; participate in customer meetings and develop solution requirements. Contribute to the generation of targets and verification methods driven by new technical requirements, customers, and FMEA. Conduct trainings on product and solution principles and strategies. Uphold safety and integrity values, taking responsibility for actions while caring for colleagues and the business. Qualifications MSc/BSc in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related fields. 10 years of hands-on experience with power electronics, electrical grid automation, and solution development in renewable energy or battery energy storage. Strong background in international standards and regulations such as IEC and IEEE. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; able to give keynote speeches in customer workshops and trainings. Knowledge of power systems, LV/MV/HV equipment, switchgear, generation equipment; familiarity with RTUs, power meters, PLCs. Proactive, flexible, professional, and committed to exceptional customer care and service. Ability to travel globally (20–30%).
