About the role For our dynamic, growing, and innovative Brands division within an established international pharmaceutical company, we are seeking an experienced Medical Affairs field professional. This role is ideal for someone who dares to look beyond the traditional big pharma MSL framework and wishes to operate autonomously and entrepreneurially. This position offers the opportunity to develop broadly by engaging in all aspects of the business and managing your own daily work. You will join a team with one Medical Manager in Italy and will be responsible for the Medical Affairs strategy and execution of medical projects. Additionally, you will provide medical support to sales and marketing colleagues, requiring a demonstrable affinity for identifying commercial opportunities. The candidate must reside in Italy and be fluent in English for communication with the European management team, which is based in various locations across Europe, including Amsterdam, Netherlands. You will report to the Lead Medical Managers Europe. Major tasks & responsibilities Develop and execute Medical Affairs strategies and scientific projects, such as publications and advisory boards. Identify and develop peer-to-peer relationships with country KOLs and other influencers in the scientific and healthcare community, utilizing evidence-based information. Support the development and launch of products through scientific exchange in melanoma. Assist with Early Access Program requests from HCPs in Italy for melanoma patients. Provide business support to Italian marketing, commercial, and market access teams for Odomzo (sonidegib), indicated for locally advanced basal cell carcinoma. Lead the process for investigator-initiated trials approval and monitor their progress. Disseminate clinical and scientific information about marketed and pipeline compounds in a timely, compliant, and ethical manner. Build and support networks in derma-oncology and other potential therapeutic areas. Communicate emerging data to experts and respond to unsolicited healthcare professional inquiries. Support colleagues in organizing HCP events by providing medical content for speakers. Education & Qualifications Mandatory : (bio)medical or scientific academic degree. Driver’s license. Work experience At least 3 years of MSL or Medical Manager experience in the innovative pharmaceutical industry. Minimum of 1 year in a commercial role within the same industry. Fluent in Italian and English; native Italian required. Desirable skills Experience in dermatology or oncology. Knowledge of Early Access Programs in Italy. Strong scientific knowledge and strategic thinking. Understanding of regulatory environment and compliance. Excellent teaching and presentation skills. Flexibility, patience, and a positive, creative mindset. Enjoys field interactions with HCPs. J-18808-Ljbffr
