Job Description

RINA is currently recruiting for a Digital Product Owner to join its office in Genoa (Italy) within the Global Strategic Initiatives Division. Mission As a Digital Product Owner, you will lead the development and delivery of cutting-edge digital solutions. This role is central to bridging business needs with technical execution. You will oversee a multidisciplinary technical team—including Cloud Architects, AI Experts, Software Engineers, and UX Designers—through every phase of the development lifecycle. You act as the main translator of business requirements into actionable technical specifications, drive the agile DevOps process. Key Accountabilities Technical Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the work of Cloud Architects, AI Experts, Software Engineers, and UX Designers during all development phases. Evaluate technical team readiness and capabilities before project kickoff. Provide problem-solving support to overcome obstacles encountered by the technical team to ensure smooth progress. Product Ownership: Own and manage the product backlog, defining and prioritizing features, functionalities, and enhancements based on business value and user impact. Continuously refine and communicate product vision and roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders. Translation of Business Requirements: Gather, analyze, and translate business goals and user needs into clear, actionable technical specifications for the development team. Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and the development team. Agile & DevOps Management: Lead agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) and ensure best practices in agile and DevOps are followed. Monitor sprint performance and ensure timely delivery of product increments. Quality and Architecture Oversight: Ensure the digital solution is built with strong foundations in security, reliability, and scalability. Review technical designs and architectural decisions with the Cloud Architect and development team. Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination: Manage external technology partners and resources to support internal capabilities. Maintain alignment between external vendors and internal teams to ensure consistency and quality of deliverables. UX and User-Centered Focus: Collaborate with UX Designers to ensure the digital product delivers intuitive, seamless, and engaging experiences to end users. Education Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in similar roles. Developer background and familiarity with AI-enabled capabilities, data-driven decision-making, and integration with cloud platforms. Experience leading tech squads in an Agile environment. Ability to drive infrastructure choices and enable tech/digital best practices. Proficient in project management, including Agile methodologies. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
