Senior Systems Administrator | Linux , RedHat , Ansible and VMWARE UK | Remote | Full-Time Must be within 90mins of Slough We’re looking for a highly experienced Senior Systems Administrator to take the lead on managing and optimising our IT infrastructure — with a strong focus on Linux automation, and enterprise-grade system performance. What You’ll Be Doing Administer and monitor enterprise systems, ensuring high availability in a Linux environment. Lead and manage a VMware virtualised environment : upgrades, provisioning, and performance tuning Automate infrastructure using tools like Ansible , PowerShell, or Bash Implement robust backup and disaster recovery strategies Enforce security measures, conduct audits, and ensure compliance Troubleshoot complex system issues and support continuous improvement Document system configurations and generate performance reports What You’ll Bring 6 years in systems administration or infrastructure engineering VMware experience (upgrade, provisioning, tuning) Strong skills in Ansible and other automation/scripting tools Solid Linux/Windows OS knowledge Experience with Red Hat Satellite and patching infrastructure Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Relevant certifications (VCP, MCSA, RHCE, etc.) are a plus What We’re Looking For Proactive mindset with strong ownership and accountability Adaptable, collaborative, and eager to learn Confident decision-maker who thrives under pressure Strong ethical conduct and a team-first attitude Why Join?
