Pilot Plant Planner A leading company in advanced battery materials is seeking a Pilot Planner to support their pilot plant operations. They develop innovative technology that makes batteries lighter, more powerful, and longer-lasting, with real-world impact on energy storage solutions. Role Overview As a Pilot Planner, you will coordinate daily activities at the pilot plant, ensuring smooth, safe, and compliant operations. You will work closely with R&D, process engineering, and commercial teams to deliver high-quality samples and data on time, while driving continuous improvements in efficiency, safety, and quality. Key Responsibilities Plan and coordinate daily pilot plant activities, including experimental trials, sample production runs, and process changes. Troubleshoot operational issues and support problem resolution. Manage shift schedules, documentation, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Oversee inventory of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods with ERP accuracy. Ensure on-time packaging and dispatch of customer samples. Maintain high standards of facility housekeeping and 5S practices. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and operational efficiency. Act as a safety champion, supporting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations. Candidate Profile Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related discipline. Strong hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills. Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management. Flexible and dependable, with willingness to support out-of-hours operations when needed. Safety-first mindset, with knowledge of EHS and quality standards. Customer-focused, with experience coordinating shipments or sample fulfilment advantageous.
