We have an opportunity available for a Planning and Scheduling Manager to join our Defence division to support with this new contract. This will be offered as a permanent full-time position that could be based at any of the main defence bases in the Northern Territory or South Australia, or frm our Melbourne head office on Collins Street. About the role In this role, you will oversee the development and deployment of an estate upkeep maintenance schedule across multiple defence bases in the Northern Territory and South Australia. You will also provide leadership to the planning and scheduling teams. Your key responsibilities will include: Developing and implementing an estate upkeep maintenance schedule for all bases involved in the contract. Leading and coordinating maintenance planning activities to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. Managing and scheduling work orders to maintain an organised and timely maintenance workflow. Providing guidance and support for the management of DLP activities related to new installation projects. Ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations in planning and scheduling activities. Collaborating with other departments to integrate maintenance schedules with overall operational plans. Monitoring the effectiveness of maintenance plans and schedules and make adjustments as necessary. Preparing and presenting reports on maintenance activities, schedules, and performance metrics. Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and client personnel. Identifying areas for continuous improvement and working collaboratively with teams to implement best practices. About you Our ideal candidate has experience in a large-scale defence or industrial environment and thrives in an agile setting. You will also have: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Facilities Management, Project Management (highly desirable). Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and other relevant software. Experience in coordinating with multiple stakeholders, with a proven track record of managing complex maintenance schedules across multiple sites. Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in industrial maintenance. Demonstrated experience in budget management and resource allocation. Ability to develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies. Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques and tools. Experience in managing emergency maintenance situations and minimising downtime. Proficiency in using data analytics for performance monitoring and continuous improvement. You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
