The Women’s Housing Company (WHC) Limited is a registered charity and Tier 1 Community Housing Provider managing over 1200 properties providing housing, accommodation and support services for women and children across Sydney, the Hunter and Coffs Harbour. At WHC we provide housing and homelessness services to single women and women with children in NSW. Last year, we housed almost 1,700 women and children, as well as supported over 300 homeless women. We have a particular focus on addressing the housing needs of older women, women with children, and women who have experienced domestic and family violence. Role Purpose The Asset Officer Finance is responsible for ensuring that Women’s Housing Company tenants receive excellent customer service and that all responsive, cyclical and vacant maintenance is appropriately prioritised, documented and completed in line with work request requirements, budget, procurement, safety and quality standards set by the business and other relevant legal and legislative standards. The Asset Officer Finance supports the Team Leader Repairs with work order management, financial tasks such as review of work order service documentation, invoicing, budget tracking and reporting on contractor performance and compliance. Snapshot of Key Accountabilities Support the WHC to provide exceptional customer service by actioning maintenance requests and undertaking consultation and communication with tenants and the Property and Housing Services teams. Support the delivery of the WHC responsive maintenance program by appropriately actioning and monitoring responsive maintenance requests Assist the Property Services team meet its financial goals and KPI targets by scrutinising contractor service documentation, invoices and variations before approval to ensure they match work orders. Ensure that WHC meets its statutory and legislative obligations by maintaining strict adherence to WHS, the National Regulatory System and workplace policies and procedures. Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge At least 2 years’ experience in property/facilities maintenance and/or contractor management Experience managing invoice processing and budget tracking Intermediate skills in all Microsoft Office applications Knowledge of Community Housing Industry Schedule of Rates (desirable) Experience working with disadvantaged tenants Mandatory National Criminal History Check NSW Driver’s license Applications will be considered as they are received, there is no closing date.
