Senior Bookkeeper / Accountant (Part Time)

We are seeking a Senior Bookkeeper / Accountant to manage and oversee the end-to-end accounting and bookkeeping function across several business entities within the Group, including construction, property development, and investment operations. This is a senior, autonomous role working closely with the Director and external Accountant. You will manage day-to-day financial operations and reporting, with exposure to both MYOB and CHEOPS (training provided). Key Responsibilities Full-function bookkeeping and accounting across multiple entities Accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management Payroll processing and compliance (for both investment and construction entities) Preparation of monthly and quarterly BAS , GST reports, and financial statements Inter-entity allocations and reconciliations Liaising with the construction team to generate financial reports from CHEOPS ( data entry and claims management by Construction team ) Monthly trial balances and reporting Liaison with external accountant and Director on reporting and compliance End-to-end ownership of the accounting function Requirements Minimum 10 years’ experience in bookkeeping and accounting roles, ideally in property, construction, or related industries Proficiency in MYOB , Excel , and sound understanding of GST/BAS requirements Experience or willingness to be trained in CHEOPS construction accounting software Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the accounting function Excellent communication and organisational skills What We Offer Competitive salary package based on experience Salary range: Part-time (3 days/week): $60K – $80K Super Supportive and close-knit team environment Central Surry Hills location, walking distance to Central Station – parking available Training and development on specialised systems (CHEOPS) Ready to Join Us?
