Personalised career progression plans to help you achieve your goals Join a business with an excellent safety record as well as robust systems and process's Competitive salary in line with experience Acciona Bonus Incentive Scheme The TBM Shift Engineer will provide direct engineering and technical support to the Supervisor and Workforce team that will contribute to continuous tunnel excavation. You will be responsible for ensuring that all work activities related to their scope are planned, coordinated and executed in accordance with the Project's Engineering, Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures and identify procedures and work practices that will improve processes where practicable. The Project The project includes the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the plant with first production in 2028. Works include marine works and tunnels, seawater intake system, a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant, groundwater system, drinking water storage and pump system, supported by civil, electrical and bulk earthworks. Key accountabilities for the position: Participate in site meetings, inspections, and daily planning activities to ensure smooth construction operations. Monitor permits, approvals, and documentation to ensure compliance before work begins. Track and process costs for plant, materials, and labor, contributing to monthly accruals and financial reporting. Assist in preparing and maintaining construction documentation including method statements, ITPs, SWMS, and site plans. Conduct inspections, monitor progress and quality, and report findings to project engineers. Manage procurement, logistics, and delivery of materials, while resolving site issues in coordination with senior staff. When rostered on TBM, monitor and adjust tunneling parameters, track ring builds, and conduct audits on tunnel operations and equipment. Required Skills: Ability to develop relationships with project personnel and external stakeholders to achieve and maintain a collaborative working environment Sound conflict management skills Strong attention to detail and record management Effective time management and prioritisation skills to ensure all work is completed in the required timeframe Strong organisational and data management skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the team Required Experience: Bachelor of Engineering (or similar) (Essential) General Construction Induction (White Card) (Essential) 2 years' experience in a site-based construction role (Desirable) Experience working on a mega-construction Project (Desirable) Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent attitude and awareness towards safety in the workplace Highly developed Microsoft Office Suite skills What we offer At ACCIONA, we offer a dynamic and challenging work environment where our employees can grow and develop their careers.
