Our team consists of friendly and experienced senior physios, junior physios and Exercise Physiologists. East Gosford Physio is a privately owned, friendly, "hands on" and exercise focused, patient centred practice, at one site with easy access and parking in East Gosford. We have been established for over 30 years and are a leading provider of physio and exercise services on the Central Coast, which is conveniently located between Sydney and Newcastle. East Gosford is a relaxed suburb, 15 mins from beautiful Terrigal Beach, with good public transport, cosmopolitan cafe strip & great local shops, out of the busy city rat race. We are a musculoskeletal, sports injury and performance practice with a strong emphasis on exercise as part of our patient management and have a Pain to Performance philosophy. We see patients from an acute presentation through to improving their function with an emphasis on biomechanical assessment and providing a long-term solution and improved performance. An understanding of postural dysfunction and muscle control would be an advantage. Our patient load is mostly private from a range of ages and conditions. Our practice also has a special interest in Chronic Disease management with programs for Diabetes, Cancer rehabilitation, Parkinson's Disease, Men's health and Lymphoedema. We offer training in the physio management of these chronic diseases to complement your musculoskeletal workload. This provides a really interesting and satisfying patient mix in your day, making the practice of physio really enjoyable! East Gosford Physio works closely with Exercise Physiologists and Pilates Instructors, in a true team approach to patient care. You will be working with experienced physiotherapists (ranging from 30 years to a couple of years of experience), who are keen to share their knowledge, and we are keen to make our physios become better physios with our subsidised training program to enhance your skills required to excel in private practice. You will have access to several protocols, software programs and systems to make the job of providing physio to patients easier. New graduates and recent graduates (less than 3 years' experience) will be offered access to our Physiotherapy Private Practice Graduate Program. This is our unique program of "one on one" mentoring with the practice principal to help new or recent graduates enhance their skills and excel in private practice. It involves a fully subsidised Learning and Development Program, over the first 12- 18 months of your employment and provides you with access to Trish Wisby-Roth's Private Practice Clinical Reasoning Road Map Program. This mentoring program allows the new graduate to "find their feet" in private practice and you are able to gradually build your own client list as you feel confident with your clinical and patient management skills. This position is for a full time AHPRA registered and insured physio to manage a client load in our musculoskeletal and exercise setting. This position is 38 hours per week but is flexible with hours and can be managed over 4 days, giving you 3 days off a week. Recent graduates will have some modifications to this position to help them succeed, including mentoring, longer assessment time and case study discussion time and study time. A part time position can be considered for the right applicant. The ideal candidate must possess a confident, friendly and warm personality with a strong work ethic and a desire to continue to learn and apply this to private practice. They must have a desire to fit into our practice's pain to performance and team culture and be interested in the provision of group exercise.
