Quality Officer - Aged & Community Care Temporary Full Time until September 2026 | Wangaratta, VIC | $88,121 per annum super We are seeking a dedicated Quality Officer to join our team and strengthen staff and organisational capability to meet current and emerging standards in Aged Care. You’ll be part of a collaborative and values-driven team, supporting continuous improvement across aged and community care services delivered by Council. This role ensures compliance with relevant legislation, standards and guidelines — including the Aged Care Act 2024 and Aged Care Quality Standards — while promoting a culture of safety, quality and person-centred care. What You’ll Be Doing: Develop policies and procedures aligned with the Aged Care Act 2024 and Aged Care Quality Standards Coordinate preparation for internal and external audits, including OHS and accreditation processes Identify opportunities for quality assurance and continuous improvement across aged and community services Chair the Aged & Community Care Quality Management Committee and manage meeting schedules, agendas and minutes Maintain the Continuous Improvement Register, Client Risk Register and contribute to the RCOW Risk Register Collaborate with IT and Finance to implement system changes and new financial processes Support staff and management with quality systems, compliance documentation and service delivery improvements What You’ll Bring: Tertiary qualifications or substantial experience in quality management systems, continuous improvement or internal auditing Demonstrated experience in aged care service delivery, compliance or administration Strong understanding of the Aged Care Act 2024, Aged Care Quality Standards, privacy laws and elder rights Excellent communication, report writing and stakeholder engagement skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Sound computer skills and capacity to learn new systems A valid driver’s licence and ability to undertake office-based and occasional physical tasks Why Work for Rural City of Wangaratta?
