Get to Know our Team: The Full Stack Engineering Department builds the Agoda web and app products. We have several teams in front-end focusing on different aspects of our products including accommodations, flights, payments, marketing, post-booking services, and more. Agoda’s marketplace is the world. We build localized and optimized user experiences at scale on every major internet platform. These include our mobile websites, native apps, and desktop sites. The Opportunity: Our App platform team tackles Infrastructure pain points head on. The end goal is to create a robust ecosystem that the wider mobile org can reliably build within and on top of, and members of the App platform team dedicate their time and attention entirely towards this end. Examples of this include CI/CD improvements, App architecture and core-libraries improvements, dev experience improvements, Customer experience improvements. In this Role, you'll get to: Designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications, that integrate with the platform's core services and APIsWorking closely with designers, product managers, and other developers to define requirements, design features, and deliver a cohesive user experienceEstablishing and enforcing best practices for app testing and quality assuranceIdentifying and implementing opportunities for optimization across the technology stack, focusing on cost, efficiency, velocity & dev happinessEnabling impactful collaboration and cross-team projects on big projects, making a dent in the quality of our services, code & architecture Providing thoughtful feedback, nurture an inclusive engineering environment, and champion engineering fundamentals. Bring out the best from your fellow engineersExhibiting technical leadership throughout the broader organization, conveying complex technical trade-offs to non-techies such as business owners & C-suite executives What you'll Need to Succeed: Overall experience of 6 years in engineering rolesBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldProven hands-on experience with owning production services with significant impact on design, development, deployment, monitoring & evolution Advanced proficiency in modern App development frameworks and architectural choicesAdvanced understanding of cross-platform technology usage in mobile App development like React Native, Web-views, flutter etcDeep understanding of app development challenges and solutionsExpert-level knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practicesProven track record of optimizing applications for better performanceStrong understanding of security and accessibility standardsCan perform deep research & take decisions on complex projects.
