We have one unique resource at Scania to achieve this – you Welcome to Scania What you will do As a Vehicle Compliance Engineer at Scania Australia, you will provide technical support and expertise to Sales Staff, customers, suppliers, & various industry bodies. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring a smooth sales process and ensuring our products meet the highest performance and compliance standards Key Responsibilities Vehicle Homologation : Ensure imported vehicles comply with local approval requirements. Working with the Department of Infrastructure to provide information to import heavy vehicles into Australia Compliance Assurance : Oversee local modifications to delivered products to ensure they are approved and conform to industry standards and regulations. Compliance Assessments: Conduct thorough compliance assessments for new vehicle introductions and propose design improvements to enhance product functionality and customer satisfaction Solution Consulting : Provide detailed compliance and technical consulting throughout the sales cycle to both internal and external customers, ensuring solutions meet commercial requirements and adhere to design compliance standards What we can offer A dynamic and inclusive work culture - be part of a great team environment Paid Parental Leave benefits Hybrid working model A company that is enjoying record growth Eligibility for an annual company bonus scheme Salary packaging, novated leasing and exclusive discounts and Corporate benefits programme with discounts at JB Hi Fi, Specsavers Be part of the bigger picture - a company with a focus on digitalisation, autonomous vehicles, electrification and sustainability What you bring Skills and Qualifications Qualification in mechanical engineering and /or extensive Vehicle compliance experience Technical background in the heavy vehicle industry Understanding of Heavy Vehicle industry legal frameworks and compliance requirements Robust knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements Proven ability to provide clear, effective compliance/technical advice and support Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and stakeholder engagement Strong computer skills, MS Office Suite, CAD, SolidWorks, Draft Sight and 3D experience Strong verbal and written communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
