Event Equipment Preparation Officer

Contractor | Flexible Hours Based in Northern Adelaide (Green Fields/Parafield/Paralowie/Para Hills/Mawson Lakes) We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-driven person to join our warehouse team on a flexible, contract basis. You’ll be responsible for preparing and packing our photo and video equipment ahead of events — making sure everything is tested, complete, and event-ready. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, can think on your feet, and have a knack for remembering the small details, this role could be a great fit. This Could Suit: Someone taking a gap year who enjoys events and tech A uni student or freelancer with flexible daytime/evening availability A reliable, organised person who enjoys working methodically with gear Someone who can take responsibility and accountability in a small team What You’ll Be Doing: Preparing photo/video machines for events (testing, packing, checking inventory) Following detailed rosters to ensure every package is complete Adding extra cables, parts, and backups based on event requirements Flagging and helping resolve any issues with gear in advance Keeping the workspace clean and organised [Optional/preferred] Assisting with minor hardware repairs (e.g. cables, mounts, screens, LEDs) What We’re Looking For: Excellent memory and high attention to detail Comfortable working with checklists, gear, and light tech setups Good general computer skills — willing to troubleshoot if needed Flexible availability, including occasional last-minute requests Based in Adelaide — easy access to Green Fields warehouse is an advantage ABN required (contractor role) Bonus if You Can Also: Diagnose and repair minor hardware/software faults Use of basic tools (soldering iron, drill, adhesives) Experience troubleshooting Windows-based systems and Canon cameras Pay & Hours: Flexible hours depending on event volume (10–25 hrs/week expected) Contractor rate: $25–$35 per hour (depending on experience) Paid on invoice About Us: We’re SNAP/SNAP and SNAP LAB — a team known for premium photo/video activations across Adelaide and Melbourne.
