Field Service Technician - Pipette Calibration & Maintenance

About the Role We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Field Service Technician to join our UK service team. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level or graduate candidate to gain hands-on experience in the life sciences industry. You will be responsible for on-site pipette calibration, maintenance, and repair at customer locations such as universities, research institutes, and industrial laboratories. Full training will be provided. Key Responsibilities Travel to customer sites to perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and repair of single and multi-channel pipettes. Use specialized tools and software to ensure pipettes meet strict calibration standards. Accurately document service activities using internal systems. Communicate clearly with customers about service status and technical issues. Troubleshoot and resolve pipette performance issues independently or as part of a team. Interpret technical diagrams and follow standard operating procedures. About You Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Willingness to travel frequently and stay overnight (up to 50%). Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule. Mechanically inclined with good manual dexterity. Organised, proactive, and eager to learn. Skills & Qualifications Good IT skills (Outlook, Excel, MS Teams). Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record. Fluent in English. Ability to lift up to 25kg.
