Design Engineer

Cure Talent are delighted to be supporting a global leader in infection-control solutions for healthcare, specialising in the design and manufacture of sluice-room equipment used in hospitals and care facilities worldwide. We’re seeking a hands-on Design Engineer to join the Engineering team. You’ll be involved in a wide variety of projects, from creating and improving designs to supporting production, purchasing and quality. This is a practical, varied role where you’ll help ensure the products meet rigorous regulatory standards while supporting the growth of the company’s expanding portfolio. Key Responsibilities Include: Creating new designs and improving existing products Producing build documentation, QA procedures and engineering change notes Carrying out product and prototype testing, approving improvements and implementation Updating and maintaining CAD drawings, layouts and Bills of Materials Supporting cost-reduction and quality-improvement activities Visiting and approving suppliers as required What We’re Looking For: HND or Degree in Design Engineering, minimum 5 years’ experience in design engineering Strong CAD capability (Inventor, SolidWorks or similar), with knowledge of sheet metal, injection moulding, castings and electro-mechanical systems Understanding of QA processes, product testing and Design for Manufacture principles Confident producing drawings to BS 8888, with knowledge of GD&T Practical mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer to play a pivotal role within a global leader in healthcare technology.
