Job Title: Technical Services Manager Location: London, UK About Us We are a leading Tier 1 main contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-profile construction projects across the UK. Known for innovation, quality, and excellence in delivery, we specialise in commercial, residential, mixed-use, and public sector developments. With a strong pipeline of prestigious London-based projects, we are expanding our in-house team and are looking for an experienced Technical Services Manager to join us. Role Overview As the Technical Services Manager , you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of complex building services across major construction projects. Reporting to the Project Director, you will manage the coordination, installation, and commissioning of all mechanical and electrical (M&E) services, ensuring integration with the wider construction programme and compliance with client requirements and industry standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the MEP design development and delivery process throughout pre-construction and construction stages Coordinate M&E subcontractors and consultants to ensure efficient and timely delivery Manage technical submissions, RFIs, and approvals in collaboration with design and site teams Drive quality assurance, health & safety, and compliance across all building services installations Support value engineering initiatives and identify innovative, cost-effective technical solutions Liaise directly with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and ensure satisfaction Oversee commissioning strategy, witnessing, and handover documentation to ensure smooth project completion Requirements Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role with a main contractor or M&E subcontractor Strong technical background in mechanical and/or electrical building services HNC/HND or Degree qualified in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) In-depth understanding of UK building regulations, CIBSE, and industry best practices Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and interface effectively with project teams Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills Relevant CSCS, SMSTS or equivalent certification preferred
