Setting Out Engineer – RC Structures (Bridge Project) Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire Rate: £250 – £350 per day Duration: 2 years Start Date: ASAP We are currently recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a major civil engineering contractor on a long-term bridge construction project near Banbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with strong experience in reinforced concrete (RC) structures, particularly in the highways or infrastructure sector. Key Responsibilities: * Setting out for RC structures including foundations, abutments, piers, and decks * Working from drawings, plans and site surveys * Managing GPS and total station equipment * Maintaining daily site records and reports * Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and design teams * Ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and on time * Supporting QA processes including concrete pours and as-built surveys Requirements: * Proven experience setting out RC structures (ideally on bridge or highway projects) * Proficient with Leica or Trimble total station/GPS equipment * CSCS card (essential) * SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred) * Civil Engineering qualification (HNC/HND or higher) desirable * Own laptop with AutoCAD (bonus) What’s on Offer: * Competitive day rate: £250 – £350 DOE * Long-term contract: 2 years * Opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure project * Supportive site team and potential for extended work across the region
