Job Description

Building Services Project Engineers Full Time, Permanent. Hinkley Point, nr Bridgwater 9 day working fortnight. (every other Friday off) Hybrid working opportunities. Up to £70,000 £5,500 Car Allowance (Travel and accommodation allowances for those travelling further afield) Benefits include: 25 days holiday Banks, Enhanced Pension Contributions. We are partnered with a tier 1 engineering services provider who are part of the exciting Hinkley Point C nuclear power station build. They are currently looking to add building services project engineers to their team on a full time, permanent basis. We are currently looking to hire x2 mechanical bias and 2x electrical bias Key Responsibilities: * Design & planning: Create and review MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) designs, often using tools like AutoCAD or Revit. * Coordination: Work with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth integration of services. * Site supervision: Monitor installation and commissioning of systems on-site. * Compliance: Ensure designs and installations comply with building codes, health & safety regulations, and sustainability standards (like LEED or BREEAM). * Troubleshooting: Solve on-site issues and optimize system performance. Qualifications * Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering. * Professional certifications (e.g., CEng, LEED AP, PMP) are advantageous. * Site and design experience in MEP * Systems knowledge- Electrical (lighting, power, fire alarms) or Mechanical (heating, ventilation, air conditioning — HVAC) * Project management: Budgeting, scheduling, risk management
