Solutions Engineer II

We build relationships and insights to maximize product value through the full scope of our global platform. As a Solutions Engineer, you will sit at the heart of the sales process. You will build relationships, become a trusted advisor to our customers and deliver innovative solutions. You will get to work with all the technologies Akamai has to offer. As a Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for: • Growing revenue and acquiring new business by evangelizing Akamais technology to existing and prospective customers. • Managing the technical proposal process and ensuring all technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are accurate. • Engaging with customers during the sales-cycle to gather requirements and develop proposals, design, delivery, demos and proof-of-concepts. • Collaborating with internal Stakeholders to strengthen customer relationships by becoming the go-to person for technical queries. To be successful in this role you will: • Have experience in a technical pre-sales/sales engineering, consulting, or customer facing role delivering technical products or services. • Display knowledge in security and Internet technologies, including API security, content delivery and web architecture (DNS,HTTP,TCP/IP,TLS). • Demonstrate fluency in cloud computing, including Kubernetes, storage solutions and developer tools. • Have interpersonal savvy, a passion to solve problems, and a customer focused mindset. • Have a thirst for learning and embracing new technologies. • Be a good team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast changing environment.
